installed service on linux box. still feel empty inside.

putting this post on a cron

@sun >Referring to GNU as "Linux".
>Wonder why you feel empty inside.

@Suiseiseki @sun it's been decades, let go

@moth_ball I'm not going to let go of freedom just because people have been making the same error for decades.

@Suiseiseki Are you gonna tell me fedoras are actually called trilbys next

@moth_ball Yes - I know what kind of hat a fedora is and what kind of hat a trilby is.

Such isn't really equivalent, as both are hats and in this case, GNU is an OS, while Linux is only a kernel.

@Suiseiseki Sorry, I didn't realize. I'll be more considerate in the future.

@Suiseiseki @sun should've used openbased esesman

@jurtsaj More like proprietarycringe.

"open"BSD ships shitloads of proprietary software out of the box and also recommends many proprietary programs;

@Suiseiseki nice list. didn't know it's that bad though. alpine/void is secure enough for most threat models, openbsd is a fucking pita to install and I wouldn't seriously consider it anything more that just a new variation of the install gentoo meme.

@jurtsaj Both of those distros are chock full of proprietary software, so "secure" is the wrong word to use to describe them.
